It all started when...

Art and nature are my two passions in life so combining these is just a dream career for me. In 2013 I had a change of heart and left my job in nature conservation without a real plan. I had an overwhelming desire to be an artist, so I just started doing it!

I learnt to make collagraph prints at Edinburgh Printmakers. It’s a process I’m still learning as there are so many ways to experiment with printmaking. I also love painting in oils, acrylics, watercolours and gouache. I don’t like to limit myself to one style or medium. Experimenting and trying new things is half the fun! I translate some of my designs into digital images for fabrics as well as getting some of my most popular designs made into gift items such as greetings cards, coasters, pocket mirrors and mugs.

I started selling at markets and still sell at Stockbridge Market in Edinburgh every Sunday. In early 2016 I opened my first physical shop on Easter Road, Edinburgh and moved across the road, to a larger shop, in July 2017. The shop sometimes feels like a studio space as I can get a lot of work done on quiet days! You might also see some of my wares in shops and galleries across Scotland and beyond.
